Our Story
The Classic Yacht Association was founded in 1969 by enthusiasts dedicated to preserving and celebrating vintage wooden powerboats. As interest grew along the West Coast, the Northern California Fleet was established in 1975 to carry that mission forward on the waters of Northern California.
Today, our Fleet brings together people who value craftsmanship, history, and time on the water. Through cruise-ins, yacht shows, and shared experiences, we work to keep these classic vessels active, admired, and preserved for future generations.
Our fleet cruises the San Francisco Bay, Delta waterways, and Northern California coast—regions rich in maritime history and ideal for classic yachting.
